Positive Results
with Annie Elizabeth
When Annie Elizabeth was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer six months ago, she did something unexpected: she quit her day job and booked a national comedy tour. Positive Results is the show born from that decision. Armed with a 97% survival rate—made possible only by decades of cancer research—Annie takes the stage to talk about diagnosis, dreams, and the terrifying, hilarious realization that life is shorter than you think. The show spans health and illness, family, identity, and the specific kind of clarity that only comes when everything is suddenly on the line. It is fearless, funny, and impossible to forget. A portion of every ticket sold benefits cancer research. Karin Babbitt opens.

Dangerous Neighbors
sketch comedy benefit for Indivisible Santa Cruz
Last year’s show, “Deflating Fascism,” was a smash success of sold-out houses that made thousands of dollars for Indivisible Santa Cruz County. Now, the Neighbors are back with "Aborting Fascism," a glorious mix of contemporary political satire (if satire still exists) and random jaunts into the deranged psyche of homo sapiens, featuring live music with the Bob Vickers Trio.

Escaping Queens
Over the Roof
Conceived and written by Capitola songwriter/restaurateur Joe Ortiz, the musical "Escaping Queens" had its World Premiere at Cabrillo Stage in 2012. Since then the creative team of Joe Ortiz and director Greg Fritsch have continued to develop the production, staging two workshops in New York and a concert reading in San Francisco, which led to rewriting the beginning and the ending of the show. We are very excited to announce that this new version is making its debut this July at Actors' Theatre.
