The excitement and passion of Flamenco comes to Santa Cruz on Saturday, June 1.

Special guest dancer Bianca Rodriguez has performed with Flamenco companies Yjastros, Juan Siddi, and EntreFlamenco, as well as Grammy winner Antonio Rey for his show, Dos Partes de Mi, along with Mara Rey in 2019, and in José del Tomates álbum debut Plaza Vieja in 2020. See Bianca along with dancers Vanessa Bell, Maria Soledad Sanches and Mimi Wiener Mishor bring this passionate art form up close and personal on the stage at Actors' Theatre. Show starts at 6:30 pm.

Building on last summer's successful run, playwrights' collective 36North presents another monthly series of play readings of new works from talented local playwrights on Monday evenings at 7 pm. Readings are followed by a talkback session with the playwright, director and actors. The series will start with "Neighbors" by Steven Capasso on June 24. Admission is free, although donations at the door are cheerfully accepted.
